Come and join me at one of my yoga classes in Christchurch. Since 2006, I have been teaching yoga for beginners through to advanced in our beautiful Garden City. I offer both day and evening yoga classes, aiming to nurture all ages and abilities. My focus is all about feeling ‘Alive Inside’ and connecting with the body, mind, heart and breath.
In our daily life, we are living and we are moving through our day in certain rhythms and create repetitive movement patterns. Therefore, yoga postures/asanas are a helpful tool to allow ourselves to become ‘bodyful’. This physical connection allows us to observe: “How am I feeling inside?”
In my yoga classes, I focus on conscious breathing awareness and pranayama breathing techniques. The breath integrates our whole body, including the mental and emotional level. Therefore, my yoga classes are never about getting into the most difficult poses; they are rather about arriving within ourselves, honouring our bodies and being in the present moment.
